John Wesley United Methodist Church   is a neighborhood church in Houston Texas. They are mission focused, serving our brothers and sisters in local neighborhoods and around the world. They have had a relationship with a community in Haiti called Beaudachita for about 3 years.
 

In a fit of late night web surfing, they found Just Haiti. After some successful due diligence on both our parts, Wesley Church was invited to join the Just Haiti program and partner in coffee development in Beaudachita. They love the fact that the program offers benefits to all parties: they get to enjoy the coffee and Just Haiti gets to enjoy  support for our coffee development program. They also say that program has brought the two communities (Beaudachita and Houston) closer together, because everyone knows each other better.

​To date, we have about 20 growers in the program. They have been trained and are busy tending their crops for the fall harvest. We received very good feedback on the training program and everyone learned a lot. We also have another 28 growers who have asked to join the program so word seems to have gotten out!
